I have the same incubator you are using. I also have one with a fan and my eggs always seem to do better in the still air. Don't ask me why?? Anyway, I keep the temp at a steady 102 and I have never added anything to the canals except a couple pennies. It does seem like a good idea though. I have a batch of shipped eggs in right now that I started in the forced air and on day 3 it had a temp spike of 106 - 108

. I fired up the still air because I never seem to have issues with it (unless the power goes out

) and moved the eggs to it. I am currently on day 7 and I will candle when I get home to see if I have any life
