This will be her third clutch since October. All my hens will do the same if their eggs are left or replaced with dummy eggs one at a time/one a day.. I have repeated this process over and over this summer, fall and winter with nine different hens. Each one went broody within a week of my prediction; most within two days.

The hen laid her sixth egg yesterday. She started clucking and walking around all fluffed up today. The pictures show the hen with her chicks five weeks ago in the nest box that contains her most recent eggs. The other picture is the four chicks all lined up on my leg.
