When do you remove a heat lamp from chicks? Mine were born Christmas day and are in the house but upstairs 48-63 degrees. I tried a search on heat lamps and too much came up. Thanks

As long as they are fully feathered. Most of mine are there at 4-5 weeks. I've been nervous/unsure about "fully feathered" but have posted pictures on this forum and been encouraged to let them out - did that this winter at 4 5/7 weeks -- the chicks did great and are still doing great.

1252 is the number of posts I have decided to skip. Anybody have the cliff notes version of them?

I have another 40 pages to go after skimming through that many... may need to skip some too!

S5apiotrowski incubator warehouse incubator. I have 3 welsummer eggs, 18 BCM, 2 easter eggers, and 5 mixed breed (BCM and Cochin cross, father is ??)

No big updates here. My humidity appears to be a little on the low end of the incubation zone. I have not opened the bater or candled anything - trying to wait until day 7 unless the humidity drops any more.
