Thanks anyway, but the original post I put up here was asking if anyone knew of a source for heritage eggs since I asked on the heritage site and they were not helpful being horrified about mixing strains and imperfections. They seemed to not be able to understand that I am just raising backyard/pasture chickens and I have several birds that have OK tyor and color that could be improved by an infusion of good blood. Like when I started in Peruvian horses. I got the best mares I could, bred to the best stallion I could afford, kept only the best fillies and repeated the process.

I've got heritage RIR's but I won't have any eggs available for another 45-60 days. All my birds are running together at the moment.

OK, the black sexlink is the only one that has any fuzzy and it is just on her neck. Can I turn the light off? They are in the house, but upstairs. The coldest temperature would be 48, but it is usually in the fifties and sixties from the downstairs heat.
