Yeah the kid is a fisherman....used to be in a lot of trouble. Then he started fishing.....totally turned his life around.

So I checked temps on the hygroset- it was off by 1 degree. They only garauntee up to +- 1 degree, so pretty fair!

How interesting - mine were nothing like that, and a lot of us on the Naked Neck thread have noted how unbelievably well adjusted NN chicks are - no fear, very friendly, run up to see you before they ever associate you with food or treats... Sweet with all the other chicks in brooder. I had New Hampshires at the same time, and they would run/hide from me. But I guess every chicken/hatch is different.

Shipped eggs should arrive today (I hope!!!). I've got tons of chores to do (inside and outside), plus work, so gotta run. Don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Apparently the door to the breeding pens was open today.....
Only one female quail in there....

I keep Thier wings trimmed

I was able to locate another female and put her back in the pen

I found my golden male

He is hurt pretty bad.
Something got a hold of him on his inner thigh
He prolly won't make it

He is quarantined
