I wish I could get a nice rooster. After I process this one I won't have one anymore(at least until my chicks are grown). I'm not sure if it's letting them free range that's making them aggressive towards humans but it looks as though I'm going to have to figure something out. I can't have him hurting anyone. He attacked my mother and she walked away so this one already thinks it can attack people. He will live on here as long as I do though because I don't think you can change the screen name. Anyways I'm sorry I kinda just needed to vent a little

My Muscovy eggs go into lockdown today. I was thinking that they were supposed to go in tomorrow, but I was a day off. I've never had any luck with them before, but hopefully this time will be different.

Our giant cochin hen appears to have an eye injury. She's been sitting in a nesting box with her head tucked beneath a wing. Her eye was caked shut with dry blood We used some warm water to dissolve/remove some of the blood We removed most of the blood. There is one speck in the center of the eye. Its a sunny day, which doesn't help. Looks like an injury without infection. Any other recommendations/precautions? Hoping it will heal quickly.
She maybe get pecked & had a blood vessel rupture?
Disenfect the aerie with Iodine and spred some eye antibiotic ointment like synthomicin!
