Valentine's day = next episode of the Walking Dead. :ya

IMHO, if any avian embryo pips and doesn't hatch the problem could be the following:
Low humidity or temperature for a prolonged period (weakening the embryo)
Low humidity during hatching
Nutritional deficiencies
Poor ventilation
Prolonged egg storage
Inadequate turning during first 12 days
High temperature during hatching
Breeder diseases

If one species or breed were to have specific problems with proper incubation, the problem could be a small gene pool.
Thanks! So far nobody has internally pipped and died yet. I'm just hoping that everything goes alright. These are shipped Muscovy eggs so I'm not counting on a high hatch rate.

Quote: I can tell you that the times I have pipped for them, it's been too early, so now I give them 48 hours before I make a safety hole. The only exception is when I see that bruise in the shell, 'cause that means there are malpo'd and highly unlikely to survive if I don't.

This is a Muscovy that tried to pip at the wrong end.

This is the whole I made for it.
