Morning everyone, don't think I'll get caught upon back posts no coffee yet lol, but hope everyone is good

due to have a plumbing emergency in the middle of the night
So you plan your plumbing emergencies? Interesting, to say the least.

Wouldn't it be easier & cheaper to plan for them in the daytime?

I feel your pain. I put water in the new upstairs tub last night and it drained down and out the heat vevt into the downstairs bathroom. Another mess to deal with.
yeah 1 Am the flashlight batteries wasn't working but the waterline came undone, had to dig through 4 1/2 foot of snow back there to get to water main to shut it off , and cleaned up the water as good as I could, but that's just evil no coffee. on good note wafer should be here by Monday so can go build the cooler bator, Thinking the digital one LG put in there is an issue and might try to figure out how to change the digital in it our cause only has temp issues now at lock down when humidity is raised. Anyone ever tried not raising the humidity during lock down? or how to fix that issue with a digital fan forced?

I'm not being mean I promise. Cooling time is not necessary. Hens do it because they actually do need to eat, drink crap etc. In a controlled environment, at the correct temperature no need for cooling.

And for worrying. Why worry. As long as the temp and humidity is correct no need to worry. Whats going to hatch is going to hatch. Nothing you can do if there infertile or blood ring. Too late for all that. That's a lessen learned for next batch.
I like the way your mind works

nope I hate house emergencies at anytime of day or night lol, never seen it do that and wasn't frozen but wouldn't go back in either so had to go to the hardware store and try and explain the issue without realizing all the information you need to have with you lol knowing it's copper tubing for the water supply wasn't enough . If I had to plan them we wouldn't have them as I gotta figure this stuff out on my own.

They are lucky they weren't told it was a do hickey that does this lol

Again, I promise I'm not being mean or a now it all. Because I don't know it all. I just been doing this for awhile. I hatch any where from 14 to 50 EVERY week. And learned what works and dont work. Thats all. Plus I like to understand why people do what they do. Sometimes I think people make it a lot harder than what it really is. I know I did when I first started. LOL

I didn't take it as mean, everyone is a newbie at some point in any given thing. I learn more frome listening to advice and hands on than reading text books anyway

Oh, I've had my share of similar issues, and certainly appreciate the fun you were having.
BTW, next time tell 'em you need a reverse threaded left hand doomaflotchie; they'll go right to the bin & pull you one, just ask @LocalYokel

I have a question.if u water test your egg and they don't float.does that mean the air cell isn't the right size
only did it once on eggs that were late after made sure there wasn't an internal pip, that works better for seeing egg movement not telling you much else. The one according to the info I could on it results was it was a gonner, she hatched at at day 24 or 25 while was working up the nerve to do my first eggtopsy
