Yes, my temps have been jumping around tonight. I totally did not mean to sound like a *****, I am just tired. Thank you for the input
You didn't, not at all! I know it's frustrating when you get overlooked. Sometimes this forum posts so fast, you get lost in the shuffle. My temps jump about 3 degrees. I'm in Southern CA....our temps don't really get out of control, so I'm not sure why the temps jump so much. I've seen posts lately about people putting their bators inside a moving box, or something a little bigger, with 4 sides, making sure they didn't block the bottom vents (so putting it on a base). That insulates it a bit from temp variations in the room. Good luck!!

It's obviously a different group this late at night...I would have had 20 answers earlier today

Truthfully, I'm bad with humidity. I've let it get up to almost 80%, low as 40%, all in this one hatch I have right now. I had 3 clears, and everything else is hatched or pipped right now, 15 babies make me so happy!

If you believe them to be too small for day 7 I would lower the humidity. If you are now incubating in a different environment to your previous hatches you may need differing humidity levels. Each home/environment is different.

Sorry I shouldn't answer since I'm still a new hatcher, but from what i've read...humidity really isn't a set number the first 18 days.  You just don't want it to drop below the 20's.  I can't imagine small changes would create any issues.  Just keep an eye on the air cells.  Heat is different.  Is your heat jumping around?

:goodpost:

Humidity is an average over the incubation period as you say no set number.
And of course you should answer!!

:hugs If it's jumping around I would try to get it stable before candling. This should give it chance to settle.

What sort of behavior? I have a sweet too and a mean one right now

Hes not necessarily mean, he usually wont charge unless you seem a threat to him or his hens by moving too fast. But then there are times he just wants to challenge authority.
So this morning before i let him in the run i was checkinf the hens crops and he let me pet him. But it seems once i let him into the run he wouldnt let me pet him and he became slightly more agressive. Is this normal?

He's probably getting territorial, and those are probably considered his breeding grounds, and he doesn't want anyone else dominant there but him. Totally normal with Roos
