Hang some CDs, they like the mirror!
Use honey or - if it's cold enough where you are to keep it from melting - you can use bacon fat. Squish in some millit seeds, cracked corn, sunflower seeds… Whatever to make a treat cake. Or, you could just buy one. Feed stores often sell yellow balls that you put feed in as well. It's like a Kong for birds.

Heading off to la-la land seems to be a popular activity about now, so I think I'll follow suit
Catch y'all on the other side of dark.

Yes, they do. Hang it high enough that they have to jump a little. It will last longer!
Welcome to chicken math! Roosters don't count, because they are either protecting the flock or used for food (yes, I know you don't eat yours). Hens don't count because they give you eggs, therefore they are food. Chicks don't count because you don't know the sex, therefore you don't know what their purpose is. Broody hens don't count because you can't count an incubator. You can't count anything you name, because that makes them a pet.
I have no chickens, and no ducks.
They will be fine and that is actually a really good idea.. I might have to make some of those myself. When you say peck their backs.. you are sure that its not the rooster being a rooster with his hens???? right... just making sure.Lol
So wait isnt that really dangerous to peck the CD?

Okay good, so easy fix then!!! Birds can eat just about all you can minus a few things but as far a meats go, they can eat anything. Hope your birds get better... a little pecking is normal.. showing domanance and building thier heirarchy... my spelling is really bad tonight.. getting tired. Hope for some good reports from you soon.Yes. Im sure. He gets pecked on by the hens but i have never seen him peck a hen. But when he mounts them it only takes some wing and head feathers.
