just made my incubator, using a hot water tank thermostat in an ice chest. upon initial startup the thermostat shuts off at 99, but after it comes on the second time the temp will hit 102, then go back down to 99. the temp mostly stays on 99 and doesn't go below that, I just get those random 102 spikes from time to time. will a closed jar full of water help stabilize this? What are your suggestions?

Maybe if ya didn't try to put the marbles you've lost back in with a slingshot you wouldn't have gotten knocked out. MC, you should know better. If I was gonna call you junk I'd just come out and say it I don't beat around the bush. Besides junk drawers are full of lots of useful things just waiting for a new purpose.

My suggestion would be to replace the tstat with a wafer tstat but yes heat sinks are a great idea regardless.
