If it is indeed a crack. Don't set it. As far as the dirty eggs go if there are chunks of mud stuck to them get those off but if not a little dirt never hurt anybody. So I am setting my first hatch this Saturday and I asked a friend to bring me a few of her eggs since she has different breeds... which she did but they are all dirty one is awful and one has what appears to be a crack but not really maybe just the shell. My questions are a) Should I even bother trying to hatch the one that has the slight crack or whatever it is and b) what should I do with the ones that are dirty.. I've seen to wash and let sit and I've seen to not bother cleaning just set. Any help would be greatly appreciated- I'm a newbie to hatching![]()
