Did a real quick early day 18 candle on the blue egg, and I suspect it is dead. Locking it down anyway and hoping for the best... No veins anywhere. Candling the rest tonight.

Morning folks....having a hard time even bring on here at all lately.seems life is pulling me in different directions. Hope things are good for all of you.
I for one am glad to see temps in the positive numbers lately. Yet still cold enough for ice.(see whites I don't always whine).

Well that was awkward, I have to learn not to reply on my own quote

I have had so many temp swings on this set of eggs, I feel like I have been tied down worrying about children again even though mine are grown. I lock down today, I think I have eight silkies going strong. I set 18 eggs and had 10 clear, the only one I am worried about is the one that was upside down the first ten days

. I left the clears in to help hold my temps that have been so unstable the last few days. I guess I should take them out before I lock down. My Son in law already has a thermostat ready to install before I hatch again

I am pretty sure they are tired of me saying I can't come over and watch the baby because my incubator is acting crazy.

Due date is the 29th.
Sorta shipped, I picked them up about 2 hours from home.

I am slacking today too! Got the chest and head cold happening as well.

You have a chefs thermometer for meat? You can calibrate those manually in ice water.
