Babies are fine. The difficult one did a little better with the karo and covering his eyes, but he's still chewing the nipple instead of suckling. He gets rowdy after 3 oz so maybe he's full? The other is taking 6 oz.

@casportpony . Have been following this thread. I have some questions about the worming. Which kind of Safeguard do you use? Tube, pellets or what? And dosage? Those roundworm pictures were scary. Thanks for all the much needed information you are giving us
I use Safeguard or Panacur, liquid or paste. When I worm, I almost always worm for large roundworms, cecal worms, gape worms and capillary worms by giving 0.23 ml per pound for 5 days.

Hello everyone! Seems like I've caught whatever cold is going around. So I'm not going to be processing my extra roos as planned for today. Got a new silkie roo the other day. He's very friendly, a handsome black. Can't wait for him to get out of quarantine and introduce him to the ladies.

@Sally Sunshine update:
new bator is holding steady temps and the ladies have been busy laying eggs (21 on Monday!) so I'll be setting a large batch Saturday.

Off to take some cold medicine and bury myself in bed. Hope y'all have a good one!
oh noooooo!!! I am sorry I feel your pain, get better quick!!! take a good long rest

Got a crate. It's been a valuable asset.

She's doing well. Have had her for 3 weeks today. That makes her 12 weeks old. She's had 2 dry days in a row. Working on learning not to eat the cat or chickens. She's mastered "sit" and working well on "leave it" in the house. Not so much outside.
Wonder what would happen if you confined a hen in a cage in the house for a while, protected with something the pup couldn't reach through, of course, where the pup could see &smell the bird, but not harm it. The theory being that the pup would get used to being in close proximity to the bird and ignore it. Never tried that myself...never had the need...but it just might work.

Than why the smack? I mean I'm not saying I don't need smacked occasionally but at least let me earn it. I mean come on lady give a guy a chance.
