Back at ya, Phil.

What flavor mutt did you get? Maybe you could let Sally borrow the crate for a day or two so she can catch up on her rest.
She's 1/2 Jack Russell. No idea who Daddy was. But, at Lowes several days ago, a customer took a look at her and asked if she was JR. So, I guess there's a bit of resemblance. Her legs are quite long.

Wonder what would happen if you confined a hen in a cage in the house for a while, protected with something the pup couldn't reach through, of course, where the pup could see &smell the bird, but not harm it. The theory being that the pup would get used to being in close proximity to the bird and ignore it. Never tried that myself...never had the need...but it just might work.
I could try that, but not keen on bringing hen into the house, unless I need to treat for something. I do take her out, and hold her while the chickens roam around. They get within 5 - 10'. She's still on high alert when we do this. She needs to calm herself, and learn avoidance. Same with the cat. Cat is too much of a wuss to stand up to her. One smack across the face, and the issue would be solved with the cat.

Now, if I were the wife, I'd be thinking: Finally, a nice quiet dark place to take a nap!!!

Fine than. Is this true?
That would be me.

Doesn't husband get tired of being cooped up in the cabinet?
Nope. He'd be the one taking a nap!!!

I've got one of them as well. She's about 10 yrs old currently. Half JR and half either boston terrier or shitzoo (however you spell that short legged mop dog).

Short people have advantages the rest of us don't enjoy; they're the last to know when it rains, and the first to know when it floods. Unfortunately, they also get carded a lot

Babies are fine. The difficult one did a little better with the karo and covering his eyes, but he's still chewing the nipple instead of suckling. He gets rowdy after 3 oz so maybe he's full? The other is taking 6 oz. [VIDEO]
Aww, how adorable! :love
