So sorry things didn't work for you Bubbles.
Are you going to float test before eggtopsy? I did before my last hatch ended, and found one still kicking, just a late bloomer, she/he seems to be thriving now.

Yes, finally. Had temps in the high twenties and low thirties for most of last week. Only -4 this morning, but supposed to get back to the low 20's today.
Got coops and barn cleaned yesterday, burned out the rest of the chest cold I had been battling.
Feeling sore, but at least human this morning.

I might try some eggs from a nearby flock for the HAL, but they are bantams and I don't know if I want to try mixing LF with them or do an all bantam hatch. Oh, but I do love bantams...

Oh yes I will, I'm doing everything in my power NOT to have to cut it open.... I'll candle too. Looking at eggtopsy pics is one thing, seeing your own chick that almost made it is another..
