I never thought to ask you (if I did, I don't remember it), but was he like that when you got him, or are you the one to thank for him being as tame & personable as he is?  If it was you, I'm sorry you weren't around when I was trying to train bird dogs

I think it's my fault that he's like that. I got him at 6 months old and I don't think he had much human interaction before he came here. When I first put him in his crate for quarentine, he was extremely jumpy and scared. Every day I would bait him with some corn. It took a bit for him to eat it from my hand. Once he started doing that, I started holding him a little each day. Once he was out with the flock, I think he realized that I was the one that would run to his rescue when he was getting picked on. So, that's how he bonded to people lol
