HEY! You took Tucker off! I liked him as your avatar lol.

Did he go to bed on his own tonight or did you have to chase him?
He'll be back

He was actually back in the run before the last hen was, but was taking his sweet time climbing the ramp...wasn't that close to dark yet. I picked him up and messed with him a bit, so's he don't forget what you taught him, then set him on the ramp & he went in. He'd have gone in on his own when the light faded more, but I didn't want to have to wade through the mud to get to the coop again.

My incubator is back to running smoothly after yesterday and last night's issues. I'm hoping that I didn't lose many from the failure. Dheltzel gave me the idea to turn the front wafer WAY up and set the temp using the backup wafer instead. It's been working smoothly ever since. This fall, I'll be replacing the front switch and getting a spare for the back.

Lockdown again tomorrow.

I'm looking to build and Sally thinks horizontal incubation is better than vertical, less DIS.
Depending on the width of the 'bator, why couldn't you run dowels from one side to the other, extending to the outside so you'd have something to get hold of? You'd probably need to cover them with something tacky so they wouldn't spin without the eggs rotating.
