was simple dinner and cake, was nice. I am not one for guests even mom and dad, although it was nice chatting for a bit.

they stuck around and watched a few shows on TV with the kiddos.

Glad it was a good time. I'm with you on not being one for guests. I'm sure the kiddos enjoyed there time with them.

These are hopefully the beginnings of my new flock. They have been in the house (yuck) since they hatched o on Christmas. The two black sexlinks are from one of the br like Georgie and my Lavender Orpington while the brown is one of my bym. I traded babies for the week older olive eggers two of which are obviously out of a bcm roo her mom has who knows on the other two.

My monkeys are the same way. I guess they take after there mom with that one which is fine by me cause than they won't grow up to be weirdos like there dad. That's funny about the legos cause my son loves playing with the ones he has. Only problem is they are so friggin expensive to buy.

Be thankful your folks are close enough to visit often. Mine were 70 miles from here; only got up here a couple times a year. Didn't matter a whole lot then, but they're both in IL now, pushing up daisies.

Started filling water wells. Quick check of one egg weigh revealed good weight loss but I still have to review notes to find out ideals. It went from 1.8 to 1.5 oz. I candled the questionable and tossed it. I'll candle all 12 remaining when my kids get home from school. Yay for lockdown. I'm pretty sure my thermometer/hygrometer went wonky so I put another in to check. Something is off- thermostat reads 2 degrees different than thermometer in same location.

They hurt when you step on them in your sock feet @ 5AM, too
