Buy a bigger incubator than you think you'll need (if you haven't bought one already). Hatching is addicting. And make sure you know how to assist with a hatch unless you just want to let nature take it's course.Alright guys sometime this week we are collecting eggs! This older Brinsea doesn't seem to have a vent hole like the new ones. There is one tiny hole on each side where the turner fits on, I think it would be difficult to turn it, it's towards the middle. The pip has grown larger in the last few minutes, still facing down.It should be okay. I've had several that pipped down and managed to zip out. If you're overly concerned, perhaps you could use a small rod of some type to reach through a vent hole and roll it over? Just a thought...

Is there a maximum dimension for the viewing window relative to the size of the bator?
That's good! I started with a 10 egg Rcom and very quickly wanted something bigger. It's extremely addicting. Good luck! Thanks, ya i plan on rereading the assisted hatching guide on day 18 so its fresh in my mind.
