Don't need a boat for crabbing if you can get permission to use someone's dock or pier.  Just drop a handline baited with raw chicken neck (no hook required), pull up slow when you feel one on the line, & drop 'em in your basket.

Oh I miss crabbing so much! We used to go every time we went to the beach. There was a dock out into the bay about 2 blocks from our hotel. We never took them back and ate them though. My mom and aunt weren't into that at all
