Temp in bator has started and stayed between 100.0 & 100.8...humidity had been at 41%....got up this morning and temps were the same but humidity has now dropped to 27%...do I need to increase or worry about it right now since it dropped that much overnight?

Relative humidity in our house is 46%...

(ETA - this is the start of day 2)

I try to keep it 30-35 first 5 to seven days, dropping overnight is fine, just get it back up when you awaken

OK, one more cup of coffee and then I'm out to start chiseling lap cuts in the lumber for the tractor (makes it more sturdy and more flexible for moving over my very uneven ground, when mobile). Then sanding and sealing the laps. If I'm very efficient, I'll get the EMT conduit bent today as well.

Tonight I'm making cheddar cheese. (It's kind of a pain and takes forever, so I usually only do it when I am on vacation/holiday).

Good morning!!!! First day of my "vacation" (I say vacation, but I will be working my tail off on chicken projects, home projects, and even some "work" work that I still need to do, including grading assignments). Caught up - finally (I worried I might go blind there for a bit).

Young man, huh? First time I've been described like that in a while, 'specially by this crowd!
No worry; I don't think Sally's record will ever be broken. I certainly hope not, anyway; don't know that I could stand it again

Alas, cheesemaking is a great big exercise in patience because it has to age first - for cheddar, minimum of 4 months (up to a year or two, at least for my home stuff). I'm actually making cheddar AND more Monterey Jack this week (ordered lots of milk). I've been making a wheel of Jack every month so far since New Years - it ages for about 2-4 months. It's good to make it now while there's so much great green grass for the cows to eat. Summer milk isn't quite the same...

If I didn't have so much to do I'd make gouda and baby swiss, but they're more involved, and there's a brining step... Another time.

(Whew! Glad you're not changing your name! That would be... WRONG...)
