Spent some time outdoors again this afternoon, and watching my birds. I couldn't help but notice on of my RIR hens showing the classic "brick" shape... and it made me long even more for the purebreds I desire. I hope it isn't much longer before the dream becomes a reality... Although the pics above have nothing to do with Incubating w/friends, the below pics were incubated and hatched w/friends... lol! The Dec. 6th babies are 13 weeks old, going strong, and growing like weeds!!! At the top of the 13 week-old's pecking order is this guy...
:love Hi Joey
they are with serama ;)
I,mean 50_60 %
I mean like they are in with the serama
I didn't run humidity that high with mine, I did about 35-40% and then dipped them in warm water on lockdown day and mine are doing great but to each their own.
:thumbsup
What humidity are you aiming for Sally?
not just watching air cells lol [/quote] Hope you have a good hatch rate with them.

Good evening everyone!
Sally :hugs
Joey, your birds look like they are settling in just fine!
I put my December and New Years birds outside last weekend so 9 & 12 week olds.
Just to prove how tough these little boogers can be, they are all thriving even though we had - 5 to - 10 overnight lows, and highs in the single digits over the past week!
Temps have moderated here, we have been in the mid thirties to low fourties got the past three days, and they are actually the first ones out exploring the run in the mornings!
Hope everyone has a wonderful evening, and good luck to all in the Easter Hal. :frow
