Ok. Patience is definitely a virtue. I'm seeing that now.
Yes patience is needed when incubating.

Don't discount a hygrometer because the thermometer is off. My IncuTherm Plus thermometer was off by 3F, but the hygrometer was dead on. I simply compensate for the temp difference, and have always relied on the hygrometer part to keep my humidity where I wanted it. Perform a hygrometer salt test on it to see how accurate it is. I would NEVER trust the hygrometer that comes on an incubator unless I salt tested it before use.The thermometers, yes. I wasn't able to calibrate my hygrometer. It's the digital one that came on the unit. The Accurite therm/hygrometer was four degrees off on temp than the other two, so I didn't trust the hygrometer on it either. Before I try to incubate again I will definitely invest in a good one. I thought I would get the kind with the probe?
Or the thermometer for that matter.Don't discount a hygrometer because the thermometer is off. My IncuTherm Plus thermometer was off by 3F, but the hygrometer was dead on. Thermo/hygro suggestions post #13998I'm not sure how you calibrate without a probe. ??

Always calibrate external thermometers then compare the unit's thermometer to the calibrated thermos...
I just watched your video on calibrating. I didn't know you could calibrate digital. The one I have doesn't have an adjustment. I guess if it were calibrated, then I could just add or subtract the numbers.
If you can't calibrate it find out how much it is off using a calibrated one so you can just add that number to it.I just watched your video on calibrating. I didn't know you could calibrate digital.
