Here Whites and mrleeroy already answered.
Mike the shelves are attached to the red flat rod that you move up and down and it rotates the shelves. The incubator is 2 feet square but inside where the trays are is 22 inches wide and 16 inches deep. There's a wall between the trays and the compartment where the lights and fan are. There's a 3 inch hole in the wall close to the fan and another on the other side up higher. An old timer built it and you can tell he took his time and used his head a little. He said he hatched a lot of chick's and there are pieces of egg shell in the bottom. I've heard if incubators where the chick's hatch and fall to a drawer in the bottom but seems to me that could hurt the chick. Thanks for your input.

SOS! Day 23. I have a peep trying so hard to escape its shell. Pipped on the evening of the 21st. Very late last night at the 24 hour mark, I attempted to help with the zip. It appeared then that the gray membrane was like rubber. I had not opened the membrane at all, though there was an opening in it near the beak, only continued with the small zip around the egg. This little one has continued to chirp the entire time! I figured I had lost it last night, but this morning still chirping. I just attempted to help out more, but the membrane is Glued to its head. At the bottom of the shell there is soggy yolk! What in the world to do now? It just keeps chirping!
