So for the April Hatchalong I will be setting Wood Duck eggs, Silkies, SLP, and BLRW. I am super excited!!!! I need to work on finding a broken wine fridge so I can build vs buying a cabinet bator. Hubby wants a nice one with a glass front.

Thought once you've had chicken pox you were immune

Depends on the strength of the strain. I had the type of chickenpox that broke out around you mouth and on the soles of your feet when I was 2. That immunity lasted until I was 13 when I was exposed at summer camp to a girl who had the most virulent strain I have seen in my life. When I broke out with it 2 weeks later my mom told me I looked like I had a light case of smallpox. Let me tell you if that was what a light case was like I was sure glad I had gotten the vacine as a kid. Now when the chickenpox retreats it settles in a nerve cluster just outside of the spinal cord. Just one cluster so if you have shingles later in life only the body part "downstream" of that nerve cluster breaks out. But.... if you have had it multiple time you can have multiple clusters. So when I was undergoing chemotherapy and my immune system dropped low I had it in both arms.

Yeah I guess I could but a broken would be way cheaper.

Possibly. I found a working one that I made into a bator. Pretty sure I never found any broken ones.

Too bad you don't live around here! I have seen several for under $200. Some are five feet tall, some are countertop.
