Updated!!!

Actually, I wasted a lot of time (and money) trying to mess with PVC and it was NOT easy, never could get it to work right. Looked it up online, and to properly really bend it is not that easy (and semi-toxic). And the conduit is more sturdy and cheaper than PVC. It requires a one time investment in a conduit bender, and it's not hard to figure out how to do (look up on YouTube and get a couple extra pieces to practice).

Just my opinion - if you can manage to get PVC reliably bent the way you want, go for it.

NONONONONONONONO!!!!!  I can't hatch any more chicks this year after this - I have 20 coming in the mail at around the same time as the CLs are due to hatch. No April HAL for me...

I'll try to get it all in one post - might take a while.

What she said.

My update: Day 9 candle confirmed one clear seen on day 7 (removed), leaving 7 strong swimmers. Day 18/Lockdown is March 23. @Sally Sunshine

Good luck! Thinking about you. :hugs

Busy day at work (I hate coming back from vacation - I could have used another several weeks!!!! I wish...) I'm enjoying the increased daylight and spent a number of hours after work straight until after dark preparing the lumber for the next tractor - don't want to lose momentum, and those older CL babies need to be moved outside really soon!!!! (Sally, I'm scrambling to built housing for existing and coming chicks!!!! Now you want me in the April HAL? Chicken math, get thee behind me!!!!!!) :th

Feather eaters are bad news but if caught quick enough can be treated I increase the protein in their diet use a game bird feed for a week if the feather eating continues I have tried pick no more lotion and I have used pinless peepers that I purchased from Murray mcmurray hatchery I also try to give them busy work so I will give them flakes of alfalfa hay (which has many benefits such as high protein grass) if I know for sure what chicken is doing the damage then a seven day timeout in a dog crate works wonders for an attitude adjustment.
Thanks. Yeah I know it is the white one. I put out a second feeder trying to lure the younger ones out of the coop. (I put Christmas and January 21 chicks together a week and a half ago, but the little ones hinde a lot, and one had a bunch of back feathers ripped out). anyways I watched that nasty white bird go back and forth between feeders chasing others off. It also would go up and pull out back feathers and eat them. They are on Purina feed, but I will separate it, and get some game feed.

C'mon then! You have just enough time to get here. I should be pulling it out of the oven when you arrive.

Duckling was trying to break the apples and oranges on her head last night like an egg! She even tried breaking them on the side of the bowl I was having her put them in! I understand the oranges, but apples? She is a silly kid.
I can pay for the whole thing at Walmart with gift cards.
I have more eggs than that. I may be candling again tonight too.

@Sally Sunshine I can't say that I have a recipe, but I will get it out of my head and into a message sometime today.
It wasn't you that was confusing me in another thread, you are welcome for the coffee, and... I forget what else.
Woohoo I'll bring more coffee as well.

Lots of thoughts and prayers would be great today!! Taking my daughter back to the pediatric oncologist. They've been watching an enlarged lymph node in her neck since January for possible lymphoma. We go back today to see if the Dr thinks it's grown anymore or if they'll need to schedule her for a biopsy. She's only 5.5yrs old...I'm hoping we get good news today. Thank you for any prayers/good thoughts/vibes, etc!!
