We have a pip making significant progress! Yay!
Here is our St. Patricks Day doeling. My daughter named her Lucky Shamrock, and is calling her "Shammy"
Sorry for the poor quality photos, it's very dark inside and too cold to bring her outside yet. I hope to get better pics once the sun warms things up a bit.

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!

Hi all,

I'm new to hatching, this is my second hatch, and I'm incubating 10 cream legbar eggs in my RCOM 10 pro (day 12). When I candled them the shells were really thick so I couldn't see anything, apart from one egg which was fertile. The humidity is having huge swings ranging from 34- 67% and I'm aiming for 50%. I'm desparetly trying to stabilise the humidity with sponges but every morning when I get up the humidity is either way too high or way too low. Will my little chickies have died?

Thanks in advance

Charlotte
Humidity is too high @chickygirl7 you still have time to fix the issue, what do your air cells look like, candle and take images from side views ???? can run low just do not go under 18%

see if these help

Never leave ducklings unattended near water sources they can't stand up in as they are WITHOUT the protective oils produced by the Mother and can tire quickly and drown. Once they are fully feathered, depending on the type of duck, full feathers should be in place by 9-12 weeks of age they are safe to be in water. For your duck's swimming area, provide a ramp leading in and out of the water. Ducks can sustain serious leg injuries climbing in and out of a pool. If you have other adult ducks in the pond/water source, be AWARE older adult ducks can kill ducklings by trying to drown the younger ducks.

A great starter swim is a tapered paint roller tray!
WITH SUPERVISION!
