Regarding the Boveda One-Step Hygrometer Calibration Kit I posted about a couple weeks ago:



I left my Caliber 4R Digital Hygrometer and Thermometer in the bag for longer than required.
At the conclusion, it read 80%; 5% over the benchmark 75%
The instructions say the hygrometer should read +/- 0.3% of 75%


If anyone else has one of these hygrometers that's been calibrated by another means I'd be interested in knowing what the spread is; 5% sounds a bit high to me.

I set my serama eggs today, the humidity is reading 59 with no water in it, maybe the hygro is broken? I'm worried about the eggs.
I am hand turning them, should I turn them during the 1st 24 hours?

Can you go over what incubator you are using, what hygro, did you calibrate it, where is it in the incubator. Are the air cells ok or damaged?
