I keep passing this picture, and seeing a cheesesteak pizza. It is making me very very hungry!!
The chicks are the steak, the paper towel is the cheese, and the red of the waterer and green of the marbles are the peppers.

Dear BC you need to change your coffee vender....:hugs

Update..... Candled. 25 eggs, had 12 duds... Most weren't fertilized and only two of the 12 duds had blood ring.

So at Lockdown we now have 13....Air sacks look good, I think, based on the drawing I've seen of proper air sack on day 18.., I have more reading to do cuz I'm still learning terms... we marked them to watch for pip in next three days... Humidity is 67% and temp is 99.3.... Wish me luck, my first hatch was a complete bust... But temp/humidity issues were spot on on this group....so I'm hoping to little peeps soon!

Good luck! A day 18 air cell looks like this. And they aren't called sacks, they are called air cells. More terms to learn and remember... :)

Air sacks are the appendix attached to birds lungs to get a bigger S/V ratio, to ameliorate the blood Oxygen absorbance and blood CO2 extraction in flight.

Question .... My humidity keeps flipping from 68-71 and temp goes from 99.1- 99.9 - 99.1quickly... Is that because I just moved them into the hatching gator? How long til the temp and humidity stop jumping around... I don't want to go to sleep until it evens out for more than 30 minutes... Both have changed several times even as I type the post...

Right now mama hen has 5 chicks that she hatched and 1 that was from the Bator. She also has 3 eggs pipped under her. Now, I have 5 more pipped in the Bator!!!!

But sadly, I discovered that 3 were dead because I candles them and I saw blood rings.

A lot of 3's!!
