laptop Toshiba...upgraded to 8

Laptops can be pesky buggers to deal with. I've heard lots of people have had trouble with 8. Do you have all of your software CDs? If you've got a free day you could just wipe the entire computer and start again from scratch.

There have been many .....many close calls , i ended up getting some boards and putting them on the worse parts cause i really dont wanna roll in this mud , i love mud bogging and such but i like it when idk whats in the mud lol

Speed's certainly in the mix, but being unable to get to web sites I use daily is irritating, as well. This thing has 5-6 years's use on it, so I suspect it needs replscing, but I thought I'd give it another shot. Just checking email & weather have gotten to be a major PITA.

Time for a new laptop whites...

@LittleLakePhil I will never forget standing in the middle of the path the next morning. It was eerie to stand in the middle and be able to see for miles in both directions of the path and have nothing but match stick rubble you should only be able to see that far, while several blocks over everything looks reasonably normal. Yes, we have a lot of great people around here and we had great people come help. But then we have had five EF-5 or EF-4 tornadoes within ten square miles in 8-9 years. Three of them have fallen on different years, but all in the same three week period in the same hour or two on a Sunday afternoon.

Well I can see why someone would want to upgrade their membership especially if it means no ads! I've seen that quite a few people just in this thread have become "Golden Feathers". I've been thinking about it, not so much to get away from ads, but to help support the site.

mine was gifted to me....by a very sweet person.....I will find a way to repay her soon.

Can't tell you right off, w/o checking my desktop, but enough to more than pay for a new system, for sure. I know ATS is one of them.

I don't hold onto laptops long about two years is it.....usually though they break.....

Believe me, I've seriously considered doing just that!

I've got them, somewhere. I'd never find them. Plus, I have all my TurboTax & other important stuff on here.
