Okay came back to this poor little guy. Fine yesterday. Fixed him up with hydrogen pyroxide and some betadine cream. Whipped up some electrolytes for him sipped a little bit when I put his beak in it to show him where it is. Will he be okay on his own though? I don't know how he could get have a buddy when they're just gonna peck at it. He seems okay despite his ordeal. Preening and peeping and everything.

I HAVE one tonight too!!! just moved two pullets over but they were from NYDay hatch they should have been fine but the roo just attacked the one, yours doesnt look at bad, The kids wanted to cull it but I only grew out two so she gets a chance!!

I had a lady that I used to sell to. She got past the brown part but one day as I brought her the dozen eggs she wanted she told me that she didn't want them because something was wrong with them and she proceeds to crack them and shows me that the yolk was too yellow.

lol

Not only that; they didn't taste like styrofoam, either

Hi All My internet is so slow and I dont know why!!! Kiddo feeding the cleft beak duck, we have 6 out so far a few more eggs to go. GEESE are drawn down ! And two bators of eggs are locked down too! All chicks are gone so plenty of room for the next batch! cleft beak Duck

He doesn't seem on deaths door but I'm worried about it getting infected. He scratched it with his foot. Couple times and he's kind obsessed with preening the feathers around how area. Should I try and cover it? Just seems like he would scratch at it more then though.

The report I got off the radio didn't mention anything about what might have preceded the pinching.

Howdy.........finally get to sit down...what happened to retirement?
For anyone whom might wonder we still have no idea what is going on with my wife she went to her appointment to find out it's not till next week.....she now regrets not going to the ER...and fully admits it was because she's scared... but she seems okay so hopefully next week we can try and put the whole incident behind us.
And my breathing I'd much improved over last night.....prednisone you got to love it and hate it all at the same time....

I've been wondering, but was waiting to ask. Today was the day, and you offered. Well, continued prayers then!
