IDK whether we do or not, and don't know their normal range; maybe I need to look it up. I wouldn't recognize either if I saw them. We have lots of wooded area, wide-open grain fields, and plenty of creeks.Do you have martens or fishers where you live?
The one in the picture is a full grown mink.
Weasels don't have as thick of bodies but longer tails. They're lighter brown with a much lighter underside.
Both can squeeze through a 1" opening.
I think we have 3 different species of weasels. The least is most common around here and can get in the smallest openings.
