Do you have martens or fishers where you live?

The one in the picture is a full grown mink.
Weasels don't have as thick of bodies but longer tails. They're lighter brown with a much lighter underside.
Both can squeeze through a 1" opening.

I think we have 3 different species of weasels. The least is most common around here and can get in the smallest openings.

IDK whether we do or not, and don't know their normal range; maybe I need to look it up. I wouldn't recognize either if I saw them. We have lots of wooded area, wide-open grain fields, and plenty of creeks.

Okay so my friend has chicks and one of them just pooped this. Is it a parasite? I didn't think chicks had parasites? If it is one how should she go about caring for it?

I finally found a body of one of the baby chickens. Looked like it was grabbed a few times and escaped, but maybe died from stress of running in the dark? It's hard to tell. And of course it was my favorite one that I found. No one else has showed up that I can see, and definitely no babies. I went through our horrible security footage, and saw the fox definently attacked the baby tractor first.

Poor girl's always having internet problems. She has the same ISP I do; not so swift. Of course when you call them they swear their equipment is doing what it's supposed to do.

I saw one in the woods while deer hunting many,many years later, but have never seen another.

Yeah we have those little ermine around here they are cute like guys turn white on the winter....I've had two weasle traps out back.

Spring is finally here, ducklings getting some sunshine and escaped pullets hunting for bugs.

We just got a good foot of snow and it's still coming down..

Something called "Devil's Dust" kind of scares me Awww, how sweet of you. That looks lovely.

I got it from spice merchants....it's a mix of demerera sugar, dried cherries, minced onion, garlic, sea salt.ancho and ghost pepper, and red pepper flake. Goes good on lots of stuff

One of these days you'll end up like me..... Collected 168 eggs at feeding time this evening not including duck eggs. Probably another 15-20 at lock up.

That's the one, alright! Only viable option for me, unless I move into town...like that's ever going to happen....I'd sooner live in my truck
