@sally sunshine has anyone timed the light on/off cycle for their incubator? Just curious, I know ambient room temperature affects this. I'm wondering how much?

Only a second, or maybe a few seconds.

Should be quick, preferably.

When a heatsource like a bulb or heater turns on and off, the heat lags, or continues to radiate from the source.

I wouldnt want too much heat to continue to radiate AFTER the switch/heat controller(Whatever that may be) said that it was satisfied/up to temp.

That would continue to raise the temp, and the temperature would have more fluctuation/not as steady.

it stays on about 3 to 4 seconds and shuts off for a minute or two, it varies to how good the bator is, the really good insulated bators hardly cycle.

thanks for the input. This is something I might monitor for a period of time. My light shuts off at .5 over and start at .5 under in Fahrenheit. From my set temp, the windows of time are small, think I need s few stop watches. I guess I'm just trying to find something to do while I stare at the Tank.
