When I fly out to WA this summer, if I buy eggs, how well would they deal with a plane ride?

Probably as good, if not better than the USPS handling them. I' assuming you would be carrying them. Eggs have been brought from Iceland that way and successfully hatched.

In case anyone read that as "95° will kill a chick" I just meant that some advice could kill an animal. Thiugh 95° for five weeks probably would do some damage including pasty butt. I guess death wouldn't be totally out of the question either.

The funeral is Friday, I will be leaving tomorrow night, and returning sometime Saturday.
I know that coffee makes me sleep better at night!

I did speech classes, my mom is from Brockton, MA and my dad is s a born and bred new hampshirite, i still get made fun of sometimes and pick up so many other people accents its not funny

My father is Pennsylvania judge my father is Pennsylvania Dutch, my mother is from East Liverpool Ohio, but it's so close to West Virginia that they have the accent. I was born in Boston, and then move to Jersey. To speech teachers from New York we're trying to teach my siblings and me how to speak.
I spent entire summers with people from Greenland, Ireland, Germany, England and Scotland! I was engaged to a man from Georgia, and he made me learn a southern accent.
I'm not sure what I have done, Chaos will have to divulge it throughout the day.

Morning y'all

I've been MIA for a bit. We've had a bit of a fox problem around here lately. Its taken two of my beautiful Sizzle roos

I almost had it this morning. I saw the chickens freaking out in the run, grabbed the gun and went out one door. And my husband went our another door and let the dogs out at the same time

Dogs ran it off before I had a chance to shoot the stupid thing. It'll be back, I'm sure. Ugh.

I should have some chicken eggs hatching today, maybe. They're in an LG 9300, and that thing is a terrible incubator. We'll see. Emu eggs are still wiggling and I'm still waiting for hatch day to come

Good morning!!! I missed quite a few posts, I'll read back later. Sorry for the sleepless night so many had last night!!

I am wondering if there is any recourse I might have with a shipment of eggs I'm tracking. That is if I EVER get them. They were sent from WA to CA but seem to have detoured through Mobile AL. Estimated delivery changed from Thur to Fri. They were shipped on Monday. Only difference I noticed, it said priority 3 day shipping instead of 2 day. But why would it go from WA to AL?

Good morning...well...almost afternoon here...

Baby and I are still fighting the crud but I think we're both a bit better than yesterday.
My 9 yr old stepdaughter's mom text me this AM saying her husband (stepdaughter's stepdad...who is only 40 I think?) had a heart cath done Mon and is undergoing bypass surgery today for several blockages. If everyone could say a prayer for him. They were at the hospital waiting to hear surgery time today.

Happy Hump Day everyone...it IS Wed right?? lol I'm so off on my days lately with being sick!!

I am glad a bit better, keep on healing!!!

The mower is running as I type!

Finally!!!

I took your advice & put the jumper cables directly to the mower cables, fired up the truck, & hit the switch. The engine turned, but not at full speed, & didn't try to fire.

I pulled both plugs, burned off any oil (though I saw none), shot a little starter fluid into each plug hole, pulled the foam air cleaner (which was dirty) but didn't replace it, sprayed a little starter fluid into the carb port, & hit the switch again; fired right up.
I haven't a clue as to which action worked, but something did.

Just for chits & giggles, I reconnected the battery; started right up! I guess the battery's good, after all.

The mower's still running; I want to burn up all the gas left in the tanks from last season (which I thought I'd done last Fall after I was done mowing) & start all over with fresh gas.

I washed out the foam air cleaner (gotta love Dawn detergent) & set it in the sun to dry. Once it's dry, I'l put it back in place & see if I can get the grass mowed.

I talked to a small engine mech yesterday & arranged for him to come out Saturday, @ $25/hr, in case I couldn't get it running...I'll contact him again if I have no further problems.
