That's where the term '2 fisted drinker' comes from.

I split my one good hive 2 weeks ago hoping to make another and keep the original from swarming. It swarmed today. I just set up a swarm trap. Now I'm trying to find my tallest ladder and try to recapture it. It's up about 20 feet or more. The last time I caught one of my swarms, I had a bucket truck. It was up about 35' over a coop. There was no way I'd have gotten it with ladders.

I once saw a video of someone using a 12 gauge to drop a swarm out of a tree. It dropped right in the bucket below.
That's amazing, did a woman or man shoot?

She's high octane. Takes after her dad.
She used to be in semi-pro dance troupes in Chicago, St. Louis and performed all over Illinois. The annual Dancing in the Streets Festival in the Arts District of St. L. had a picture of her performing on every light post in that part of town to publicize the event.
That's awesome

Didn't think so.

Me too!!

When you get a bunch, you'll have to give 'em names: Donald, Daisy, Hughey, Dooie, Louie, & whatever the old geezer was named

I didn't know I was getting that many!!
But ya... Great names. :thumbsup

Except if I get a pekin, then I'm naming it Aflac!

Took ya long enough

Two words: Enablers International. :lau

Quote: Awesome!

Problems with these chicks. I've culled 2 of them, oozing copious amounts of foul brownish liquid, some clear serous from vent. I assumed that they had egg yolk infection. I have one or two chicks in the big brooder who are passing yellow foamy feces. No signs of pasty butt. One of them has an empty crop. But I think this is the one who has bandaid to correct splay leg. What are the chances that I am looking at coccidiosis? I have a feeling that these chicks from shipped eggs are going to give me a run for my money. Thoughts? I'm tempted to give them a treatment of Corid. Hate to risk it passing through the whole lot of them.
If the chicks are brooded indoors, and have not been in contact with the ground, they should not have coccidiosis. Are they drinking water?

I ain't believing this!

Just got a call from the guy I took the mower to....all better already...he didn't have it 2 hours...pick it up tomorrow.
Was a single wire shorted out in the harness. The same wire the guy who was here Saturday said he'd checked.

Now you won't have an excuse to not cut the grass this weekend.
