Good afternoon all! Lots of Pips and zips! Splinters in fingers- OUCH - sorry MC!!!!

The drive in was PACKED, glad we got there an hour early. Cars were lined up around the block. I was surprised we all stayed awake for both movies and still made the 2 1/2 drive home. Well, my daughter and I slept, but the very nice BF drove us back.

The mud run did it's damage yesterday and I'm moving VERY slowly, but I've been busy. I took 18 more babies moved out of the incubator brooder, and moved them into the pen with too many others. We had 2 of the later set silkies hatch this morning. There are just 2 eggs left of the original 37.

My early late Feb chicks all got a chance to go outside and play today. They are hanging out in the weeds underneath the trampoline.

My December feed store babies laid their first egg today!! It's little and it's green!

My Easter HAL chicks are getting bigger. The Spitzhauben are getting poofy heads! The Frizzed Silkie is awesome!!!

My lone New Year Salmon Favorelle roo, together with the pair of Black Cooper Maran that Gotro17 gave me to keep my SF company, are integrated with my laying hens. At this point the 2 roos are way too afraid of the hens to try to fertilize anybody. Here they are with one of my Delaware hens photo bombing them...

Of the ones that JUST hatched, there are a bunch of auto sexing EE's. The white spot on their head says they are a boy....well, I have a LOT of boys.

Ok, well, there are 15 new posts from when I started this one. I'm off to do laundry and all the other things that I do on weekends.

Happy Hatching everyone!!!!

One of my bantam chicks died... Another is dying. What is happening?

What type of bedding. If it's shavings do you have paper towels down to put their food on so they see it.
Are they getting fresh air is it at least 98* in the brooder.
What type of food
How old are they now.
How far is the heat source from them. Too hot too cold. Are they Huddled together or spread apart
