The pip is turning brown.she isn't hovering like she should for them to hatch.I have had her for like six years since she was a baby.she let me look under her.and she doesn't freak out

The problem is that you continue to disturb her all day, every day, while she is trying to do her job.

Let her do her job or you deserve the disastrous results you get.
How in the world do you expect normal babies to hatch if you don't let the setter sit?
Just because she lets you look under her, isn't the point.
You shouldn't!!!!!!!
And why would you want to? Wait the appropriate amount of time and you'll have baby birds. It is simple.
I repeat myself for the umpteenth time. Birds have been hatching their own eggs since the age of the dinosaur without intervention from Chicken Hawks.

You still haven't answered the question of how you can see an egg under a hen.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!
Sorry I let it slip by, Jess; been pretty preoccupied.
Look at it this way...now you get two days worth of birthday greetings

Hope you enjoyed it, and a whole bunch more, and every one's better than the last.

@casportpony , what do you think the chances of a chick surviving after it hatches with what appears to be pieces of it's yolk sac stuck to the shell? It cmae from one of the worst saddled air cells in this batch, but it managed to pip and zip on it's own. I had it sitting in an egg crate, so when it didn't hop out of the shell, I figured it was because of it's position. After letting it sit like that for about an hour, I tipped the shell so it could push out. When it did, it's innards were stuck to the shell. I eased it back into it's shell, then moved it to my other incubator. I figured it would die soon, since it appeared rather weak. That was at 7am this morning. When I came home for lunch at 12:30pm, it was still alive and chirping up a storm. I decided to at least try to do something, since the contents of the shell had dried somewhat and there was something that resembled a dried umbilical cord attaching the mass and abdomen. I used sterile scissors to cut the cord fairly close to the abdomen, which was thankfully closed, then patted it wound down with betadine. There was little-to-no bleeding whatsoever. Since I don't have any electrolyte handy, I gave it some artificially flavored fruit punch, thinking the sugar might give it a boost. It's resting now, or maybe dying, but it's still alive. This is the chick...
Did it absorb any yolk? If it did, and it doesn't get an infection, it might live. Has it pooped yet? -Kathy

You have a few choices...

1) Leave her alone and wait for her to come off the nest.
2) Fire up the incubator and put all of the eggs in it.
3) Fire up the incubator and put the one cracked egg in it.
4) Keep bugging her and end up with her leaving the nest or squishing more eggs.

I vote for #1
