I guess both lol it's comb is funky though...it almost looks like 3 rows...looks different from everyone else's...

And it has the possibility of being three things - either cuckoo marans, barred rock or barred rock mix...

Ack!! The skin on my duckling's legs is peeling! What am I doing wrong??
They are eating chick starter, until I go into town and get them some correct food but this isn't that far off. Could a nutrient deficency be causing this? Will they be okay?

Happy to know after building this thing from scratch it works. now it's gotta be meticulously fine tuned.

Phone set up was easy. App is called Alfred tho there are others. Both devices need to be android, you sign into the same Gmail account with both and it's pretty much done.
Easiest one I've come across so far. Convenient because I only have Android devices.

broody chicken.I save them.when the wood ducks hatch there are some that don't so I take them and keep the good ones and hath them and let them go when there older

Are you sure the mom duck is done with them? You have done this before??

Update! For the Spring HAL, I had one hatch last night and two more this morning with 6 or 7 others pipped! I had to leave for several hours though so hoping everything goes smoothly while I'm away!!

Woohoo! Hopefully more fuzzy butts when you get home!!

Anyone want to weigh in on this bird? Comb is very different...leg color? Thoughts??
