The duckpin ball is 5" across,or less, depending on weight, & has no finger holes.
The pins are considerably shorter than tenpins.
Duckpin bowlers get 3 balls per frame, compared to 2 for tenpins.
The method of scoring is the same, however there are far more strikes & spares made in tenpins, hence the higher tenpin scores.
There have been several perfect scores of 300 in tenpins; there has never been a perfect game in duckpins, & probably will never be.
Very interesting.

Hello! I've never used this thread before, and so I'm apologizing in advance if this doesn't go here. I'm going to be leading an incubation project with a Kindergarten class, and I was wondering if any of you had tips on incubating, suggestions for classroom rules regarding the incubator (I'm planning to essentially say, "Look. Don't touch), and/ or ways to get Kindergartners interested in incubation.
Again, I'm sorry if this isn't the right thread

Welcome. Good luck and hope the kids enjoy it!
You should try it if you get the chance; it's a blast, but can also be frustrating (remember most of my posts on the subject). I tried tenpins a few times in my younger days. My 1st game was 150; I thought I was ready for the pro tour. That turned out to be my best tenpin game ever! I couldn't put anything on the ball' I could hear the holes hit the lane with with every rotation. A enpin bowler who throws a ball with no hook or curve had just as well stay home & watch the tournaments on TV.
If I'm ever somewhere and see it I'll give it a chance.

That was our deployed location. Jets were farther out but the backshop maintainers were stationed there. Got a taste for a real deployment a few years later when I went to Afghanistan.
I would have thought they would want the mechanics where the jets were.

Can change that in the "preferences"

I was backshop at the time. We repaired the engines after they were pulled from the aircraft. They had maintainers with the jets also. That was about 10 years ago. Seen a lot more country since then.

I thought I did. Still don't why it isn't consistent one way or the other.
My sister & her 1st hubby went to IL & KY one year to see relatives, & someone suggested going bowling. BIL kept his bowling bag in the trunk; when he got it out, my cousin asked him what it was & where he intended to use it
