 I just spent almost an hour cleaning straw, used staples and bent nails out of my toolbox. I started putting things away in an organized way. Then just throwing things back in. I tried! I really tried to keep it organized! Anyone else debate weather or not they can reuse bent nails? :lau
Smelt them and reuse them
Duck hatching 101 please? Link with temps calendar to go by, something please and thank you. Most of what I'm finding is for chicken. Had a trio of Ancona ducks, something got both girls. I have 11 eggs that haven't been refrigerated ranging 2-10 days old. Are they too old? Complete newb on hatching. Kinda last minute. Incubators still in the box. Farm Innovators 2100. Still Air. No Turner. Picked up a candles and a indoor gage showing temp and humidity.

WELCOME! have a look at this info to start..... HELPING OTHERS INCUBATION QUESTIONS w/answers post #85688 The incubation period for waterfowl lasts from 21 to 31 days, and females spend from 73 to more than 99 percent of each day on the nest. In the extreme case of emperor geese, females spend as much as 99.5 percent of each day on the nest. This leaves a mere seven minutes a day for other activities such as feeding. Ancona fall in the 28 day range Storing Eggs for Incubation It is best to incubate them within 1-2 weeks. keep them around 50-60 degrees and 75% relative humidity. (Best hatch rate is with eggs stored less than 1 week. but your ok with the ten days) Do not put in refrigerator. Put them in an egg carton with the big end of the egg up. Then 2-3 times a day lift up one end of the carton, then the next time the other end. Do not turn upside down. You can try them, I have hatched refridg eggs and had great hatch rates, although never had duck eggs in the fridge. Let eggs warm to room temperature before putting them in incubator. Then look at the duck section HERE https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/incubating-w-friends-helpful-notes-links-informational-post-links and here Hatching Eggs 101

:smack Smarty pants. A few days ago (while I was hiding) the neighbor got two BCM looking EE. They were not quarantined or cooped for two weeks to be sure they went home at night. They came straight over here when my flock heard the scratch can being shook. My flock wanders over there because I can't get them to stop letting their flock over here. Or the cats, dogs... So I stopped worrying about boundaries and everyone mingles during the day. But! My flock only allows the other flock to go so far. No run, and no eating of my scratch. I didn't realize that the EE weren't mine. They are the right size and coloring to be mine. I thought I just hadn't noticed that some pullets were getting copper collars. Add that my flock accepted them (95% of the time. Still normal since the juveniles are still learning the ropes) and I didn't know until the neighbor wanted me to catch her pullets to give them back She then asked to enter my coop after dark to retrieve the still missing one. Three days later, and I am now feeding the darn things, and I found two pullet eggs in my coop today. I will open them to see if they are fertile. The girls are at my house so much, I doubt the neighbors' numerous roosters got to them. I would like some darker eggs... But I need to get the two EE out. I am processing soon, and I will probably sell off a bunch of my current pullets too. I have nine good SPR eggs about to hatch, and two more Pekin. I don't need the neighbor's chickens or the hassle when she wants them again. Cooping my birds is the only option. Did I mention that she closes up her coop at sporadic times of the day? Whoever is in, is in. Otherwise, they are forced to fend for themselves.
your neighbor sounds weird and dumb

They are all mentally challenged. They are also my cousins. And Duckling's aunts and Nanna. And my B-I-L's in-laws. Because my husband's half brother married my husband's cousin/neighbor that my husband's half brother watched grow up.

Duckling is my niece and cousin.
