Thanks! I'm very excited that I convinced my better half that we should get some orloffs. He didn't want to at first because they're "weird looking", which is exactly why I like them, lol.

Love all your info on this forum. It has been very helpful for me as a first timer. We borrowed an incubator from my father in law this time, but I really want to make a cooler bator!

I will join the May hatch a long, thank you!

Day 5 on quail eggs. Noticed a cracked egg candled it air sac and membrane are all good so I put some wax on it.

Hi Sally, I hope you are feeling better. I will try to remember to take a better picture. It is definitely a light green towards the olivish end of the spectrum not blue, but it is a very definitely green.
There are four OE in this group. Two are clearly out of the BCM rooster, bit I don't know on the other two.


I can't get the other to load so I will do it separately.@Sally Sunshine

The other two OE are the brown and white. The brown eggs are from my bank and bym. I have no idea at this point which of the four OE laid the egg. The picture is over a month ago, but all I have.@Sally Sunshine

we had a bear wipe out our coop on monday so, i want more chickens. The only ones to survive happened to be sleeping in my barn that night
