Hey @BantyChooks I haven't seen any Duckling pics recently.

I need to get some!! Been horrid weather, so haven't wanted to take my good camera outside. My babies are protected from the ick though, I have a tarp over the minirun!

Hope your weather gets better soon! I dont like having to supply all the pics around here.

Can't argue with that- but IMO kids SHOULD make breakfast. The spoiled young'uns these days.... :old

Both my daughters hate it when they call to tell me what one of the grandkids have done this time and I burst out into a maniacal laugh. Then I stop suddenly and say in my best Keanu Reeves impression, 'w hoa, flashback dude! ' :lau

It has gotten to the point recently they have stopped telling me what the little 'Angels' have done. They tell my wife, and ask her to relay the message now. :gig

Were the Orpington's from December hatch as well?
Yes, but these were all from my local feed store. I picked them up as day old chicks around December 6th. 1 Orpington, 1 Dominique, 1 Black Australorp, 1 New Hampshire Red, 5 EE hens and 1 EE roo. 4 of the EE's are a week older than the others.

Our two grandkids love to cook. Including BBQ and they do dishes. :yesss:

Our two oldest granddaughters love to cook as well. As long as grandpa makes the dough, slices the veggies and fruits, and does the gross things like slice up the chicken or beef.
They will do the dishes though, so that is a plus!

It's actually the green one with purple trim. Well I came home from work and nothing had hatched so had to go run an errand and in an hour it had hatched but there was another that just hatched that I did get to watch. PICS COMING SOON
Wow I was in the compltely wrong neighborhood then.

Here it is

I think the same way.
Everyone asks why I live in the boonies and work in the city.
I try to tell them the feeling I get everyday when I clear the city limits and the worries and issues melt away.
Some get it, some don't .
:idunno

I get it.....

Nice!
We got my two youngest grand daughters (both 6years old) for the weekend, I think breakfast is likely going to be grampas famous chocolate chip and strawberry pancakes with whipped cream.
I might sneak in a few bacon strips for myself though.

And a few strips for me...

Same here. My internal clock wakes me at 4:30 most days. Even as a kid. So I was shocked when I found out it was 10:00. Lately it's more like 5:30

So about my bed time.....:th

My Orpington's took closer to a year too start laying. Not to proud of that. They are laying great now. Most days I get 5-6 out of 6 hens. Don't think I'm going to keep this line going.
