Mine prefer between the barns. Nice breezeway for them. Really cool to see them back. It's been skimpy the past few years. Tried the bat houses as the neighbors have also, they don't care for them at least here. I have a picture on computer at work I'll have to get it to you for some reason it's not on mine anymore.

Good morning! (Again)

It snowed here last night! Not cool universe, not cool. Anyway I've moved eggs off the turners and put them in there to rest until they hatch. Hopefully everyone's doing ok and the temp and humidity get correct quickly it's cool in here and I'm not pleased. I'm starting to think they may even hatch Wednesday if they're alright. I'm going to check them soon and the other incubator I have some on day 14 and day 9 I think in there so I can probably go over that bunch and see what's going well but lots of dark shells so not a lot of luck... And these guys will go in in about 9 days...

I'm really hoping that I can split them between 2 incubators and get more of the colorful ones to put in. The dark will be barnies and the others will be various shades of olive eggers because the hens are olive egger and ee in with my barnies so that'll be fun and the other eggs are barnyard mixes 2 breeds of rooster one over speckled Sussex and the other over all so I don't know what the chicks will be just what they could be. I'm excited to find out though! Wish it wasn't so muddy.. I am trying to only set clean eggs but they want to lay in the coops and not on the clean hay in boxes!
I am so sick of rain! @BusyBearMama I forget where you are at, coops have been cleaned but I still have so much mudd and eggs are still getting dirt on them. I am thinking about the pads that Fireantfarm uses at least at the entry door. I wish you the best!

Quote: Fruit, vegetabels, seeds from the scratch, pieces of cheese any thing they will eat, I think Mealworms will also do it!
Here a pic.
it looks delish for sure!

Quote: She is cute, I will take more when I can, they are still scared to come outside I think, as soon as they do I can get some pics of them too, I lied about the blacks and not liking them, I think because of the preth dust! lol I will show you how cute one is with white specs under its belly.. I dont see anything rooish though at all and good morning again Mike!

Okey dokey.... Was reading and had a thought..... I saw one of the reasons not to candle too much was bacterial infection. Now, that is probably so- but how come a broody doesn't have complete failures with having skin and hay and poo on the eggs, 24\7? Not disputing that it can cause deaths, just curious.
