I got totally confused by all the models on Amazon, so I may not have picked the most reasonable/inexpensive one. But I ended up getting the Zombie Strike Dreadshot Blaster. Mainly because it held a lot of water (less refilling needed), and could shoot pretty far... I keep it may his coop. This evening I went into their coop to scoop poop. I've gotten to where I don't "allow" him to be in there when I'm in there (partly for my dominance, partly so I can concentrate and not worry about him sneaking up on me). I walked in with the Dreadshot and he scurried out and stayed outside the pop door the whole time (even though his girls were inside with me and I was disturbing them). As protective as he is, that's pretty effective..
You could also probably find something at the toy store. I have no patience for shopping like that, though, hence, Amazon...
Yep, we ordered her one the music teacher is going to give her summer things to work on with it. Thank you
Kristin I pray your ear is better by now, HarmonyAnn been complaining about hers too.. and its not even pool time yet! @Fire Ant Farm
sorry all I am off again, going to curl up in a ball and moan again soon
Hope to chat tomorrow sometime have a great weekend
I actually thought it was hysterical to reflect that I actually cared about stuff like leg hair at one point in my life. Now it's all about chicken poop and bedding changes and whether the thermometer and hygrometer are calibrated... And I haven't even gotten goats yet!![]()
(Careful, or you'll have me wanting Seramas...)
I was ASTONISHED at how painful my ear was - I actually was out of work all day yesterday, in bed, fever, face partly swollen, on Tylenol with codeine. But it finally starting getting better today - thank you. I'll never underestimate ear health again!!!!(HarmonyAnn should do those swimmers ear drops - I used to do those when I was a swimmer in my younger days. It changes the pH of the ear canal so it's less likely for there to be infection, as I understand.)![]()
I'm so sorry you don't feel well - I'm sending healing vibes your way.On the bright side, your pups and their mother are beautiful and serene looking. Congratulations!!!![]()

Quote: Thanks - yeah, I wish I had more to go on than a tiny little bit of tissue. I wasn't overly attached to the SSs, but I do wish I could find something that would give me closure, because I just recently broke her broodiness on an outdoor nest, and so part of me thinks she's going to show up three weeks later with chicks... which will all promptly get eaten by the cats that prowl in the yard, so I'd like to know. I did more searching tonight, still nothing. I'm just going to have to assume she's gotten eaten. She was a little nuts anyway, didn't seem like she wanted to live in the coop with anyone else, and I was worried this would happen, but she was endearing in her own way, the way she randomly went on walkabout several times a day...
This is the last photo I took of her, a day or so before she disappeared, heading into thick, thorny brush. She refused to let me catch her. She went back to the coop on her own when she was good and ready that night.

Edit to add: That first photo has her in direct flight path of the hawks that fly over and nest, with no overhead protection. I suspect that's what happened to her...
Don't count them out yet. What great record keeping. Did you make the chart?
By who? What thread.? Pm me please. @MotorcycleChickI was just called mean for saying that a mean male should be eaten. He attacks all humans and animals. Even large dogs. One hen must live inside, because he picked all of her feathers out.
Yup. I'm mean.
