My husband is getting her feet washed and some better photos I hope. She tunnels under things so she really gets dirty and we have lots of things that they climb around on but she could get her feet stuck somewhere I guess... She's in with 28 hens in a small barn and they have a pen that's large and they eat well and all that and her eggs are good, nice solid shells... All I can think is infection from injury

@kwhites634@Fire Ant Farm I gave up on the zip ties, and cut sections of flexible wire hooking it part way and snagged the tip with the needle nose. Then I twisted and bent the ends.

Saw the conversation on drill pluckers. Not sure if you already had a design in mind but I saw one on the DIY thread I think. Take a 4 inch PVC cap, drill a hole through it for a bolt, secure bolt with nuts to hold securely, notch side of cap to hold cut pieces of rubber cargo straps. Looked like it would work pretty good and relatively cheap. I will see if I can find it.

Yeppers. I was thinking yours was comparable but couldn't remember seeing final pictures. I like your design better due to the fact I would want the meaty part of the strap left on for security purposes rather than doubled up. Good job looks mighty nice.

I saw it, but the complete one is thirty, and with how long it would take me to make I decided to use some of my cash back bonus.
