Seems like it. I'm going back and fourth between reading the thread and getting ready to go away for the day.

I fondle Roxie's bag a couple times a week. I still feel like expecting her kids is stupid wishful thinking most days. She's basically carrying food babies. I thought her bag was flat when we got her... Looks a little rounded, though? [@=/u/65471/mlm-Mike]@@mlm Mike[/@]

16 chicks from hatch #2! So far
We had 17 from #1 and still have 13 in our house though all birds are doing well. Of them I think half are pullets so that's a few nice hens! These guys I seriously can't tell who the olive eggers are but some are so fluffy! I have one hatching and one pipped. And a whole bunch that may or may not hatch cause I was having a dreadful time seeing into these shells!! But I hope at the least these two hatch and the other 2 olive eggers hatch! I'm guessing slate legs is recessive- counting on the peacomb to give away who's got an Easter/olive egger mom... I thought it was the brown ones but there's one too many and I don't think we have twinsies so maybe it's a few of them or something... It will be clear when they start laying at the least though lol also poof cheeks!

Congrats on the 16 from #2, and the 17 from #1. I can never tell the chicks apart, so I'm going to try to separate the hatching eggs next time!!

I went to turn eggs this morning in the LG and they felt cold. Temp was 92. I hate this thing. Wish I could get the others finished. Too many things happing at once this time of year.

I have an LG that doesn't do the things yours does. Or at least it hasn't. How long have you had yours? I hope your eggs are ok!

Good morning all! I candled my Serama's, and only 2 of the 6 were still viable. They are on day 11. Not sure what happened. I left them in anyway....

I'll be candling everything else sometime this afternoon. Let's hope the rest are doing a little better!!!

The other batches are on day 7 and day 14. (And there will be another batch that starts day 1 as soon as there is room)!

Hello I was in and off for two days and finally got caught up from being behind.

Hi all,

I live near an elementary school, and drive by it twice a day. Yesterday that very busy street was closed off. It took us about 40 min to go about 1/2 mile. Turns out an 8 year old boy was walking home from school with his younger sister. They were goofing around and she pushed him. He tripped and fell into oncoming traffic.

They took him off life support late last night.

I can't even begin to understand how his sister must feel. Or the driver of the truck that ran over him. Witnesses said traffic was going slow, but he had NO time to stop.

How many times have we gently pushed someone, not in anger, but in fun. For something so innocent to turn out so deadly is tragic.

I'm feeling very sad for their families....

prayers for the family, this makes me want to cry, i think about this all the time because of the little town we live in it could very easily happen

Broody hen ended up with 5 chicks. Two hatched with her one of those died. 4 hatched in incubator. All doing well with her.

Update on my hatch....
12 of 12 mille fluer made it to lock down last night, one has pipped this evening already, and I can hear several more chirping.

8 of 12 Rouen duck eggs still going strong as well.

Hey all, how's it been shakin' on the forum side of the world. We are super busy and completely under water. Had over 15" of rain in the last 5 days. Muddy freakin' sloppy mess. 3 cabinets shoved comepletly full of eggs (double racked too) and babies out the wazoo. So other than wading around in mud up to my @$$, not much going on except for plugging away at the grind. My boss is an @-hole and won't even let me take a rain day. LOL. So you might wonder what I do when it's rainy, I tend to spend money and hang out at the sale barns too much. Here's to shoveling out the trailer after (100) 30# feeder pigs came home. Right now, this ol girl is the only trailer I can get to without rutting the heck out of everything. Dad bought this trailer new when I was pup and it's earned its weight in gold many time over.

And by the way, corn has gone up some but soybean meal has gone up a little over $5.00 a hundred. So, be expecting a little price increase on your bag feed I'd imagine. Dang, shoulda planted more beans and less corn. LOL

Holy cow thats a lot of water! i have a similar trailer, worth their weight in gold many times over
