Make sure it is water based and not oil based. I got the idea from when I was doing my own aquarium props. could use just about anything to make the décor and then slap a few coats of paint on it to keep anything from leaching into the water. Theory actually worked better than I figured it would in the incubator.

Ok so yesterday volunteered at my vets office. I had a pretty good day started by making sure all the cloths were clean then gave a dog a bath. Watched a few pets get shots. And then the fun part I got to watch a dog get spayed except I got sick at the sight of all the blood and nearly passed out. So after regaining my head I watched the vet removed 2 cists off of a daschund. After that we had lunch and had to make a farm call for a sick horse. The horse had a twisted intestine and had to be put to sleep which was very sad. Then went back to the vet office and had a few more get shots and had to trim a rabbits teeth also had a dental cleaning on one. But that just about sums up my day yesterday. I am hoping to go back soon.
I am glad you enjoyed most of it. I never had trouble with the blood or autopsies, spaying, etc, but I am a wuss at disbudding when baby goat cries or when you have to put down someone's horse/pet.

I'm not sure I can ever get this LG truly clean.... It had 6 month old quail shells and yolk all over it from a failed hatch, spiderwebs, dirt, a thick layer of dust...... Even the bleach soak I did when I first got it didn't get it all out! :he

I use a lot of hydrogen peroxide or vinegar to clean with. A lot less toxic than bleach.

See you later!!
I have to go too... I do hope you all have a Wonderful Day! :frow
have a great day!
Bare legs and saddles, especially western saddles, don't play well together. Talk about road rash!
sooo bad!!!
Got to go. BBL Got a truck & trailer to unload & a coon to dispatch.
have a good day!!
Sounds like the one I use. I really like the western cut, but got turned off of the true western saddles after getting punched in the stomach with the horn a few too many times..... A few weeks after switching saddles, (a while back) I was out on a trail, and ran across a bee nest... Horse became an acrobat, and I landed right where the saddle horn would have been and slid onto his neck. (but kept my seat, somehow) That would have turned out MUCH worse if I had been using a western! -Banti
ouch I have seen my share of acrobatic horses ugh
All six of six hatched.Sox new baby Silkie.I can't believe I got a white from my pair of blacks
Congrats!!
ok just picked a farminnovator 4250 from tractor supply, will see how things go over the next few days
Good luck!!
IMO, based on years of experience, horns belong on working saddles, not pleasure saddles.
I can agree with that

I have one of those with the automatic turners. It has worked well for me. I have an additional hygrometer (?) that I keep in it, but so far, it has worked fine. The hard part- I am dealing with it now, is cleaning broken yolk and other stuff from the styrofoam after the hatch.

I bought it after ordering eggs that arrived while I was banging my head against the wall trying to build a coolerbator...

The darn thing is sitting on the porch unfinished. DH says the thermostat is shorting out. So much stuff to return and I don't have the time or patience right now!

Good luck!
