I'm sad, of my 6 Serama aggs, 4 appear to have no development at all, 1 has a blood ring but there is 1 ready to lock down!!

c'mon single serama!!

Thanks!! I just dropped it in with the current hatching eggs. Not the most sterile, but it's already humid enough and changing and sterilizing for 1 egg seems crazy. I did a quick candle of the 7 remaining eggs and 2 were early deaths, that I should have pulled, and 5 have drawn down, but I'm not seeing any movement and they haven't internally pipped. I dropped them back in and we'll give em a few more days. We started day 22 an hour ago.

So, if these are the last of the chicks to hatch, that brings it to a total of 23 hatched out of 30.

I have to do some creative chicken moving and will be disposing of 10 baby roosters today.

That is a messy pile of pigs!!! Awesome!!! I want a pet pig, not a slaughter pig though.....a fellow chicken crazy lady I know has a very, very large pig that loves to lean up against you, asking you to pet him, and will roll over on his back so that we rub his belly. the property I live at now was abandoned for MANY years before being rehabed and sold to me. One of the squatters living here had a pig in the chicken coop/rabbit hutch that was in the back yard. But until we start to get some steady rain, no additional animals for me.
