Those eggs look great!! Jealous.

..

Glad the class went great. Do you know what type of people are attending before had, or do you have to taylor on the spot?
All I have are their names so classes are always modified on the spot. I ask each person things like what city or county they are in and how many chickens they are getting.
Our county has 93 cities in it including some unincorporated areas. Each city has its own rules. The poorer the city, the more likely they are to disallow chickens. The wealthier they are, the more likely there are no restrictions. Counterintuitive, I know.
I'm used to it from teaching robotics for years with electricians from different departments and with different types of robots performing different functions and needing to integrate with all sorts of other automation.

It passed away

That's too bad.
Perhaps in the future, you'll leave your hands off of eggs under a broody.
A broody should never be disturbed while she's doing her job.

that didn't have anything to do with it

Our second lockdown is tomorrow.

Here's a picture of her first hatch we did lose two since they were hatched.

I have Seabright and Rose Combs in my incubator right now. Only half of the eggs seemed hatchable by day 14.

All of my barred Cochins we're definitely not fertilized. So apparently our rooster is not doing his job. He is going to have to go.

Unfortunately to stay here you have to have a purpose and being a pet is not a purpose. lol

Now to try to find him a home.

So you are admitting you handle eggs under a setting hen - relentlessly.

For a change, try just leaving the hen alone for the entire incubation period and see if your success rate goes up.
it was that I had four other broody chickens and they atacked her and the nest

Quote: Each class must be interesting, with so much variety. Teaching robotics must have been interesting too. I worked in computer automation for about 20 years.

Congratulations on the first hatch, and good luck with the second.
A little photo taking tip, you can turn the red light off long enough to get a photo.
